Centralizing around the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle, and Nietzsche, this series explores The Delphic Oracle, "Know Thyself", as ajourney of self-discovery, envisioned inward, across land and sea, and through the pages of their literature. Considered the source of all greatness, the height of personal attainment, this series depicts a search for enlightenment, through which, the search for knowledge beyond one's self, is used as a tool for enriching t h eexperienceof self-discovery. Sculpted from thepages oftheir work, through the use of precise cutting and gluing, intricate layering, and strategicwire work, these pieces were created for the purpose of being photographically captured for their likeness, alluding to the introspective quality of the piecesthemselves, rendering the works themselves, engaged in the act of speculativeself-awareness.
