Contemplated as an axis to which inner lives digest, the bed is used as a tableau within this series to explore the turbulent, tranquil, and tantalizing faces of love, life, and solitude. Envisioned through the use of strategic staging, comprehensive wires and pinning of fabric, photography, and illustrative techniques within post-production, this series depicts the symbolic representation of stifle, salvation, passion, hostility, and rebirth. The use of colour within these images is used as a referent to depict the diverse and obscure scope of human emotional. The colour red in particular, a symbol of anger, dominance, love, lust, passion, urgency, danger, courage, drive, determination, confidence, and strength, is used as a highly evocative form of communication within this narrative, presenting various states of being within the visual dialogue of a single referent. Symbolizing cowardice, perception, optimism, warmth, energy, enthusiasm, deception, and caution, the use of yellow within this series is placed as a fragmented commentary on the overarching themes within each frame. Likewise, the use of black, grey and white, provide a clean slate to which the colours may elevate themselves from the depth of neutrality that surrounds it.
